San José is a small fishing village located on the southern end of the Cabo de Gata National Park, with fewer than 200 full time residents.
 It is a picturesque coastal village, which offers both a bay and a harbour.
Its pretty village, stunning location and the fact that it has one of the most beautiful beaches in the Cabo de Gata have made it into one of the most popular tourist sites in this area.
