Frigiliana is an award-winning village, located just a few kilometres inland from the Costa del Sol coastal resort of Nerja. If you're staying in or around Nerja, this beautiful village is a must see.
Frigiliana Attractions
Frigiliana, Costa del Sol, is a traditional Moorish "pueblo blanco" (white village) which can be found on the lower slopes of the Monte El Fuerte, in the Almijara Mountains. It also has a Medieval part.
Its attractions include:-
- Its narrow streets and white-washed houses decorated with geraniums and with their colourful painted doors.
- Its views over the Chillar Valley and Higueron River.
- The 12 mosaics, by Pilar Garcia Millan, found in the Old Town which tell of the town's history.
- The little plaza or square with fine restaurants.
- Its little craft shops
- Historic Buildings - An 18th century granary, 16th century church and 16th century Renaissance palace.
Frigiliana is 7km from Nerja and 56km from Malaga, and it can be reached by bus from Nerja, with several buses running each day.
