“Seville: The Andalucian City with Cuisine, Culture and Nightlife still Fit for Hometown Emperors Hadrian And Trajan”

Seville Spain is the cultural and governing capital and largest city of Andalucia, one of the seventeen independent communities of the Kingdom of Spain.

Come to Seville and you’ll watch mesmerising Andalucia flamenco dancers strut around seductively with their castanets clacking to the shaking of their hips, the stomping of the their feet, and the strong and regal attention-demanding poses they bear to entertain all comers. You’ll eat a cuisine fit for the Roman emperors, whose families once walked the streets of this 2,000 year old culture that still features the nearby Atlantic and Mediterranean seafood, plus Moorish almonds and Roman wheat.

You’ll spend your nights bar-hopping the winding streets. Visitors and locals are welcomed warmly and then lavished with tasty hors-d’oevres called tapas that make a night of sangria and the famous regional sherry much more memorable.  Stunning cathedrals, palaces, museums, Holy Week festivities and bullfights, the likes of which Hemingway and classic films made famous, will round out your visit.

Every day and every night will be filled with a different amazing adventure. Whatever kind of traveller you are – single backpacker, happy honeymooning couple, family or retired couple – Seville is the perfect holiday destination.

Seville City Climate

The city of one and a half million is situated on a flat plain of the River Guadalquivir, at 7 metres above sea level. Seville City can get very hot in the summer, but winters are generally much  milder. What will the Seville weather be like when you’re visiting? Check out these average temperatures as you plan your trip.

Autumn and Winter - October days average about 26ºC (79º Fahrenheit) and drop to about 20ºC(68º Fahrenheit) on average in November. The weather doesn't begin to cool until December through to February, when average temperatures reach about 15-18ºC (59º to 64º Fahrenheit).

Spring is comfortable, but July and  August are steamy with temperatures shooting up to around 36 to 38º C (97-100º Fahrenheit). In September, temperatures drop back down to June temperatures, which are still hot! Temperatures fall in the evenings by around 10º C, (as much as 20º Fahrenheit) in the evenings. Be prepared to wear light clothes and sunscreen during the summer months in particular.

Getting Around Seville for Sightseeing

Spanish cities can sometimes be difficult to get around by car, if you don't know where you're going, and parking can sometimes be tricky. This may put some people off renting a car, especially if they are not planning on venturing outside of the city. Why not think about using taxis or public transport to take the stress out of your Seville City Break, taxis and buses can be surprisingly cheap. You could even hire a bicycle, after all, Seville City is located on a plain, so the terrain is nice and flat.

Many visitors prefer a combination of walking and using the bus system.  You can buy bus passes at kiosks, tobacconists and bus company offices (see bus company TUSSAM’s website below for address). Tourist Information Offices are a great source of information on public transport and can supply you with maps and bus timetables.
